Geoscientists without Borders® (GWB) serves as a catalyst by bringing capable scientists together with communities in need to solve their challenges.

Geophysical Society of Houston- (Gulf Coast Region) Challenge Bowl- The GSH Annual Spring Symposium includes a Regional Competition of the SEG Challenge Bowl. The winning student team (of two) has an all expenses paid trip to compete in the Finals at the SEG Annual Meeting.

Launched in 2006, the SEG Challenge Bowl competition is a trivia-like (short answer/multiple choice) contest that tests students knowledge of geology, geophysics, geography, and some geodesy, as well as the history of SEG.
